Annie and Andrew’s Austin Wedding Photos
Annie and Andrew’s wedding was held June 21, 2015 at the restaurant Abel’s on the Lake located off of Lake Austin Blvd. Abel’s on the Lake has a upper level that is reminiscent of a peer style house with open windows surrounding the venue from every direction giving beautiful natural light at every angle. To compliment the venue was a boating peer with boats and party style lights strung up, all with Lake Travis as the backdrop.
Annie and Andrew are a beautiful couple with small families on both sides. Approximately sixty people all together. The touches on their wedding were perfect. A preacher, a string quartet, a carpet aisle, and a flower girl. Aside from the simple touches, family and a simple wedding. What else could one ask for. My role? I was asked to document the simple beauty of their wedding. Then came the festivities Which included a delicious meal, fun spirited dancing, a formal toast to the bride and groom, cake cutting, and both fathers sharing to the newlyweds words or wisdom. Again, I was asked to capture the spirit of the newlyweds and their families through fun spirited candid wedding photography. In addition, to the photo journalistic and candid style wedding photography Annie was very much open to allowing me to elevate the photography and pursue more evocative style wedding photography. Overall, Annie told me she was very happy with the way the images turned out.
I almost forgot to mention. It rained on their wedding. I believe that is a good sign that their wedding is destined for good fortune and longevity. We actually, took some picture in the rain. It was fun.
I would like to first give special thanks to Anthony Johnson Photography. He referred Annie to me and told Annie that I come highly recommended. I am flattered. I would, also, like to thank Babak Aryan as my second photographer. Finally, and most importantly, I would like to thank the bride, Annie, for selecting me as her wedding photographer. Thank you. Below is a select few of the images so enjoy.
